How Winsolux started

Two founders and a team with 30+ years of combined experience.

Winsolux started when Connor and Simon came together to solve a problem with the best materials on the market. From Maple, they went after one thing: installing security window film properly, as a complete anchored system, rather than as a sheet of film on glass. In early 2026 Madico certified the company as a SafetyShield Premier Partner — one of a small number of installers in Canada trained on the 1500 G2 and its attachment system.

The team has grown since, but quality remains the priority behind the brand. Every project is handled by people who care about the details — straight edges, clean anchoring, a tidy site — and about the experience: clear communication from the first call, a schedule we keep, and a walkthrough before we consider the job done.

Simon Kruk, Winsolux co-founder

Simon Kruk

Co-founder · Head of Operations

Simon leads operations at Winsolux and is responsible for how every job is delivered. Originally from Vancouver, BC, he brings seven years of experience in service-based work and takes pride in ensuring every installation meets the highest standard from a fulfillment perspective — from scheduling and crew to the finished glass.

Connor Haakenson

Co-founder · Project Consulting & Sales

Connor leads project consulting and sales, and is usually the first person you speak with. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, he has more than five years in the film industry — automotive through to flat glass — and is a trained installer himself, so he can walk clients through the process from both sides. He specializes in large projects and in finding the exact solution for a client's problem.

Jen brings more than four years of sales experience and is fully trained and certified on SafetyShield product information. She handles in-home consultations across the GTA — measuring, walking through the options and putting a quote together on the spot — and is an expert in her field.
