Residential · Security · Privacy · Solar film
Security film that keeps shattered glass in the frame, privacy film that keeps eyes out, and solar film that keeps rooms cool — all optically clear, all measured in person and installed in a day by the people who own the company.
The strongest security film made: 3-ply, 15 mil, optically clear, and anchored to the frame with structural silicone so a struck pane shatters but stays in the opening. Patio doors, ground-floor windows, sidelights and basement glass are where break-ins start; this is what stops them.
Also for homes
Madico SafetyShield® 800 — the only security film line with built-in tint. One film that does the heat, the privacy and the break-in resistance, in shades from near-clear to reflective silver.
Reflective tints for daytime privacy on street-facing glass and entry doors, and frosted or patterned film for bathrooms, sidelights and anywhere you want privacy around the clock.
Spectrally selective and ceramic films that reject solar heat and glare while staying nearly clear from inside. The go-to for sunrooms, great rooms and anything facing west.
How a security job is built
A standard Winsolux security job is double-sided: SafetyShield 1500 G2 on the inside, a 7 mil protective layer on the outside so the outer pane stays intact instead of crumbling, and the interior film anchored to the frame with structural-grade silicone per Madico's guidelines. The anchoring is what most installers skip or run thin — and it's what decides whether the glass stays in the opening.

Beyond security
West- and south-facing rooms that the AC can't keep up with. Solar film rejects the heat before it gets in, without darkening the room.
Blinds closed at noon to see a screen. Film cuts glare while keeping the window a window.
Hardwood, leather and art fade under UV. Our films block 99% of it, on every window, from day one.
Bathrooms, bedrooms, street-facing glass. Daytime privacy without blinds, and frosted film where you want it permanent.
What install day looks like
We measure every pane, look at your frames and sun exposure, and talk through what you actually want fixed.
Film options and prices by window, so you can do the whole house or just the rooms that need it.
Drop cloths down, shoe covers on, film cut to your glass and installed. Most homes are finished the same day.
Every window checked with you, care instructions handed over, warranty registered.
Questions we get on every assessment
Not unless you want it to. Our solar films come in near-clear finishes that reject heat without a visible tint. Darker and reflective shades are there if privacy is the goal — we bring samples so you see it on your own glass.
It turns a five-second smash into minutes of loud, visible effort. The glass breaks but stays in the frame as a barrier. Most intruders give up long before they get through — and anchored film can't be pushed out as a sheet the way unanchored film can.
Yes. Quotes are per window. Many homeowners start with the ground-floor and patio doors for security, or the west side for heat, and add on later.
We check your glass type and any sealed-unit warranty before recommending a film, and we'll tell you if a particular window shouldn't be filmed. The film itself carries a lifetime manufacturer warranty on interior installs.
Yes — we do a lot of high-floor glass. Interior film doesn't touch the exterior, so it's usually fine under condo rules; we're happy to send your board a spec sheet.
Interior films are rated for the life of the glass — no bubbling, peeling or yellowing — and warranted that way. Exterior layers carry a 3-year warranty.
